The existing building has ecological characteristics, and all the walls are made of Adobe (a small block of clay mortar mixed with sand and straw and dried in the sun), which provides excellent thermal performance. The floors are made of natural Santa Catarina clay and terracotta tiles, and the exterior doors and windows are made of double-glazed wood. All the accommodation units have central heating.
